01 / NEW CONDITIONS

You can supplement the existing boiler.

A hybrid system lets you keep the current boiler and add a new heat source. Replacement and supplementation are separate supported activities.

01

Wood and pellets

Add a heat pump to a wood or pellet boiler. Existing heating can provide extra heat on the coldest days.

02

Gas and fossil fuel

The hybrid-system activity also covers supplementing boilers using fossil energy sources.

03

Modern pellet boiler

An old wood or pellet boiler can be replaced with a new pellet boiler that meets programme requirements.

02 / SUPPORT AMOUNTS

Look at euros, not percentages alone.

Support is the lower amount: 70% or 85% of eligible costs, or the cap defined in Annex 1.

Output Ground–water Air–water Pellet boiler
<10 kW 5 700 € 3 700 € 2 300 €
10–<20 kW 7 700 € 4 700 € 2 700 €
20–<30 kW 10 000 € 4 700 € 3 000 €
30–<40 kW 11 400 € 4 700 € 3 200 €
40+ kW 13 000 € 4 700 € 3 400 €
CALCULATION EXAMPLE

A €10,000 unit ≠ €7,000 support

For an air–water heat pump from 10 kW with €10,000 eligible purchase costs, the cap is €4,700. That limits both the 70% and 85% calculation.

BEFORE CHOOSING

What should you know about the house?

Radiators or underfloor heating?

Air–water and ground–water solutions work with a hydronic heating system. Heat loss, radiator capacity and required water temperature should be assessed.

What if the home only has a wood stove?

A room stove is not a central-heating boiler. The replacement/supplement activity requires a qualifying existing appliance.

Can an apartment owner apply?

Eligibility depends on building classification, ownership, independent engineering systems and approvals.

Is installation also supported?

Installation and all heating-system alteration costs cannot automatically be counted as equipment purchase. Eligible and other costs should be separated in the quote.

NEXT STEP

Start with the house needs. Then compare quotations.

Collect the existing boiler data and fuel consumption. Request a quote that separately shows equipment output, works, possible support and your own contribution.
